On 01.01.2026, the Empirical School Research Unit headed by Prof. Dr. Karina Karst moved to the RPTU in Landau. The working group was previously based at the University of Mannheim under the name of Professions and School Research.

The research group is located in the Department of Educational Sciences at Bürgerstraße 23.
