Internship in business education

As part of your degree program, an internship will give you the opportunity to gain practical experience as an industrial educator and human resources developer. The requirements regarding the scope and nature of the internship, as well as the criteria for recognizing similar activities as an internship, vary depending on the examination regulations under which you are studying vocational education/human resources development as an elective or a minor.

Therefore, you will find below the basic information for each degree program regarding the requirements, prerequisites, necessary links to form templates, and other relevant resources.

General Procedure: Before the internship begins, you should find a faculty member at the Institute for Business Education and Human Resources Development to serve as your academic advisor and to coordinate the internship placement. After completing the internship, you must submit written proof (including the number of hours completed) from the internship provider regarding your activities, your certificate of enrollment, and an internship report to your supervisor, who will confirm completion. To have the credit points recorded, the documentation must be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office or the institute’s secretariat. The process is the same for the potential recognition of prior practical experience that took place before your studies or work as a research assistant or student worker during your studies as an internship. Depending on your degree program, an additional application for recognition may be required.

For any further questions, please first consult the key resources listed below for your respective degree program. These include examination regulations, module handbooks, and other overview pages.

The points of contact for academic supervision of internships and for the recognition of prior coursework are all faculty members at the institute.
