Free workload for a supervised research internship: challenge at IGS Landau

Project description

As part of the "Challenge" project, pupils in Years 8 and 10 are given the opportunity to develop their personalities in very different fields of activity over two weeks immediately after the summer vacations as part of a wide range of projects (see homepage). A challenge is not a school trip, but can also be an undertaking in small groups that groups of pupils plan, organize and finance themselves over a period of half a school year. During the preparation phase and the two-week implementation of the project, however, they need support from responsible adults.

Supervision of a challenge group is ideal for students studying to become teachers of special needs education, as it allows them to complete a research internship with a direct link to educational practice. Experience can be gained that is important for the organization, reflection and development of one's own pedagogical work - so supervising a challenge can also be a challenge for the student.
