Company pedagogy" - as a special pedagogy and oxymoron - primarily finds practical expression in forms of company-based continuing education and claims theoretical conceptual validity as a specific form of pedagogy. These corresponding but not identical aspects constitute the object as a category in need of interpretation and as a cipher for an indifferent practice, and the question arises as to its cognitive identity and its relevance for the social/educational science discussion. The seminar will examine the question of how continuing vocational training is differentiated in organizations. In the seminar, fundamental aspects such as forms of continuing education, operational and pedagogical logic of action, didactics and methodology of company pedagogy, human images of company pedagogy, success and effectiveness of company pedagogy as well as professionalism and professionalization of company pedagogy will be discussed.

In this seminar, we will develop normative guidelines for educational organizations and deal with the strategic and operational planning of educational programs. The possible uses of management tools in the initiation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of learning processes will be demonstrated.
The knowledge imparted in short lectures is deepened in exercises and illustrated using various case studies.
Educational management as a relatively young field of business education creates the link between management and education. The design of educational processes in organizations can be understood as a complex management task. Balancing economic and educational goals should be just as much a guiding principle as proactively addressing future problems.
